Restarting the Minecraft Server

Hokay, I freaking want to have a minecraft server again, but this time I want to check with you guys and see what you want! I'll talk to Beau and Josh about this when they get back but until then I'll need to collect some info on what we want first!

I would like a MC server, but be careful if you are going to add item spawning make sure you cant spawn stuff like Lava or TNT. Damage it depends on others. I would like something like respected users could spawn stuff if we don't get enough votes on unlimited spawning.

Hmm. I kinda also like the idea of being able to spawn things for your own use, but not for the infliction of harm on others. Kinda like a .."Spawn it if you need it." But no stupid shit. <.<; I wonder if that's asking too much. Kappa
Also, I want in on this server if it gets up and running.

I'm actually interested in joining this server. I'm already on a private one, but so much has been built it's kinda hard to just join and build something near the other stuff. So it would be interesting to join a new one.

I'm definitely for running a MC server once again, and have been for a while. There's just a few things that I need to make sure of before we start it up again because of the difficulty running one.

Since we have lots of people on the forum now and hanging around our community, it seems like a good time to bring these thoughts out.

1. How many people would be frequent on the server?

I need to know this because I don't want to end up spending more money on slots that won't get used just like we have in the past.

2. If there is anybody that knows how to work any kind of bukkit permissions plugin, would they mind working with us on the server so that we can get that working?
Would they mind going through a trial if we don't quite know or trust them yet?

Permissions has been a wrecking ball for me to figure out and work on in the passed. I've spent so many nights looking at the text and codes in the file that I don't want to work so much on it again.

3. Once the server is up, are there people that would be willing to help pay the upkeep each month so that we're not just throwing our money at you guys? I don't want the bill to fall on just the 3 of us (Tom, Josh, and myself).

This is important because when we pay for the server, and then people aren't really active on it, we lose our enthusiasm of paying for another month of it.

Hokay! One Au natural server coming right up! I'm thinking about firing this up when Josh gets back (or maybe before) but I think we'll need him to help with the construction and for some input (or not).

I don't really think Josh will have a lot of input other than: "Gee, that sounds cool, let's start it up." XD

I'll have to check how my finances are right now because I've spent a lot of money in the past few days. (My new girlfriend is too great to not pay for her stuff...)

I doubt that I don't have the money, but I just want to make sure.

Also, Nightogre, that sounds perfect, and you're also someone that I can trust. Not sure about Tom or Josh, but it's an okay from me to editing permissions and other.

I had a server once with couple of my friends and i got pretty good with the plugins and stuff, and I got a job now with money flowin' so i am willing to spend some money to keep it going.
