Yes this is admirable and very good idea to bring the more unknown people to light
BUT the juggernauts of Youtube didn't do those things overnight either
people expect success way to fast and expectations are too high
I've been on youtube for a long time now and yes i follow a lot of these monoliths of youtube, but I didn't subscribe cause they were popular, i subscribed cause i enjoyed their content
Yes a lot of popular youtubers use their success as an advantage(ie: LIEK AND FAV THIS VIDEO AND HOG ALL THE TOP VIDEO SPACE!)
Some famous youtubers even started about a year ago like EpicMealTime or FPSRussia.
They got popular because they do what entertains.
Yeah sometimes its not entertainment *Cough* RayWilliamJohnson*Cough* but they do something that appeals to people, whether it be cuteness, humor, or its cause people r perverts and click on videos expecting porn!
The one guy on the video was doing CoD videos, and the other looks like a Vlogger
Well the reason they might not be popular is that there are thousands of those anyways!
It's like complaining that you didn't win in a raffle.
On the other hand (so this isnt a giant defense of the youtube stars)
Not everyone can post videos every day/week
Being discovered is hard, cause not a lot of people actively try to find new channels to sub to.
Standing out is hard without doing the "hot girl thumbnail" thing.
If you have a hobby, have a talent or love doing something great put it on youtube, but success isnt spoon fed.
P.S Feel free to argue my points or correct.
