The server

Alright, so not to nitpick or anything.. But I've noticed something. These boys worked hard on getting this server up and running (Mostly Beau), approving applications and whatnot.. and no one plays anymore. Now maybe I'm just missing the time when everyone decides to play, but I've noticed that even the people that have gotten approved don't get on.

People put a lot of work into this, and it's just been tossed aside. Bit of a waste, to be honest. Just pointing out what I've been seeing.

I have noticed this is happening on other servers aswell, and this server is going to be no exception unless it has a dedicated player base (minecraft focused). Even then it will lose players slowly as the sheer number of minecraft players decline as a total. Hopefully 1.8 should bring back a couple players even if for a little while.

That's one of the thing with minecraft. When I get into playing it, I'll play it a lot for a week to a month and then I'll lose interest for a bit. That's me though, the only way I would start playing again like within the time i lose interest is playing with a good internet friend and we'll get on skype, start a new world and spend a bit playing for maybe part of a day.

Everything building game you get gets boring after awhile, you build your mass creation then just destroy it or leave it there forever, all in all i think theres something missing in the game that would really bring it to life but really dont know for sure what.

I would get on but my comp is fried and I have def notieced no one being on the server I really am sad about it it happened with this other server but with this 3rd one it's still pop it's forums are all about minecraft runescape and terraria so yea

I would be on the server, but the permissions are all screwed up...so I just said screw it to that server and I just mess around with mods in SP where I dont get yelled at for opening a door.

Thats a minor problem that would take a few minutes to fix, I've been trying to spend more time on the server, But I am also working on a script for a project i've been juggling back and forth for a couple of years now

So are there still players playing on this server or not so much?

Harley, it's is a minor problem, but not fixable in a few minutes.

As I see it, there isn't a way to fix it. I had the permissions working fine on the server that I personally ran. As soon as I transferred everything over to the host, shit got fucked.

So, with that, I don't plan to buy a Minecraft server again because honestly, I'm the only one that puts my days into fixing the server up with the control panel and whatnot, then people bitch at me when something is wrong. It's a never-ending cycle with each server we have.

And Josh does have access to the control panel, he just doesn't do anything with it.

So, I've taken on applications by myself, created the server and looked at the coding in the files to arrange the server the way we need it, then I deal with the earrape that people tend to verbally pitch at me.

Not so impressed, Community.

Unless someone is willing to pay the whole $60 a month, there won't be another server after this one. Not even with 1.8 or the Aether.

Don't blame you in the least Beau. You've done -everything- for this server, and all you get is grief. I'm just sorry you had to waste your money. =/

Well they still have the money that's left over from the months not paid or was that used

i would play on the server all the time, but sadly my application still hasn't gone into voting

Thanks to myrrdin the server was free for beau.

I might be able to float $60 towards the server if there is enough interest later on, but for now I've got to be saving my money while I work on moving into my new place.

I was willing and donated the 60 about a week ago. I get on about once a day for a good 30 minutes to 2 hours and sometimes more. I hope the players become more active on the server.

Also, I forgot to logon, :/, so if you need the reference number I have that too.

i would be pretty dedicated to joining as much as suitably acceptable but my application is not approved at-least i don't see it approved

See, This is the problem with minecraft servers.


People get extremely excited and want on the servers desperately the second it starts up. We let certain people on the servers ( MOSTLY all ). And we all have a damn good time! Which is always good!

But then,We have a problem.

I've seen beau and josh host Three minecraft servers in the space of 6 months. Why is this? It would be because alot of people play on the servers for a month or only jump on to see if they can catch whoever is casting it. Thats really the bottom line here. And im sure there are some people that are on the servers for fun. But its really becoming a stress factor for beau. ( Seriously, Just looking at what he went through setting up a server and fixing every complaint would have drove me fucking insane )


If you guys want to host a server, Go ahead! But I don't see another one happening in the near future

speaking of starting up a server im making a map with broken basically a rp jail server problem is i can barely host the damn thing for 2 people only so i would need a person to host the map after i finish it

Stealthy, send me the file in skype (Ukaida) and I'll load it up and check it out. If I'm into it, I'll think about hosting the server, although it won't be up 24/7.

im willing to host as 24/7 as possible i mean i have my own server i just dont know how to install plugins and stuff i knew i would definitely host it
