Application standards.

This is what I have come up with, Please feel free to tell me of something needs to be changed or if somethings unfair to newer members.

1: post count of above 25

2: Beau must somewhat know you. (meaning he has seen you posting around the forums or in his chat during cast.)

3: The posts must be of good quality, No 2 word posts. such as " Yeah totally".

4: You are not or never have been a troll. (this one speaks for itself)



Again if anyone wants something added. Tell me here, if something needs to be changed also, tell me here.

Beau: I have made an update to criteria 2, I put that they could also have me seen them on my cast in chat.

Could #2, be changed to Beau, Josh, or Tom must be familiar you,or maybe at least 2 must have seen you around
Or is that too steep?

The post count(#3) could be more difficult cause since mainly Beau is handling the apps, and he probably doesnt want to surf the forum for posts.
Maybe Beau can appoint people to do it for him! YAAY SLAVERY!

I would gladly volunteer to surf the forum for those good quality posts. I'd do the best I could. Also, highschool ain't as bad as I originaly thought.

Its good to know that anyone posting a friendly hello, or their opinion, will be accused of spamming posts in order to play on a minecraft server. Great community.

Considering the fact you just accumulated 8 posts in under 5 minutes, YES, I'm going to accuse you of spamming considering the fact over half of your goddamned posts were replies to old welcome messages. Just sayin'. I know I'm the DICK of this forum, but there has got to be a line. And don't accuse the community just because I don't like you.

I heard your not spamming

IMO i think the post amount should be left ambiguous to the extent that newcomers wont be deemed "active" and as long as people moniter activity (like this example) spammers will be kept at bay.

Having a minimum will encourage people to try to reach it by the fastest means possible.

Seraph now we know not to let you in the minecraft server for insulting our community, You should have read, Things will be changed according to what everyone thinks is fair. Now lets say we get rid of the post count. Then we will be spammed with a bunch of 1 posters for app's like now. We have to have a set post amount, and have a few poeple checking if the persons posts are legit. Also Seraph. for a intro thread. You could atleast say.

"Hello (enter name here), Welcome to our awesome community! I really hope that you have a pleasant time here!


That would be more than enough. So dont go complaining you cant spam 50 posts in 5 minutes with one "hello" per thread.

Post limit shall be secret. join date will not matter, quality of posts will be looked at. Anything else guys?

1. final thing, i think that voting should be reformed too:
The yes/no thing is good because community is deciding, but the execution might be flawed

Don't get me wrong, i want to thank everyone who voted yes on my app. but during that time i wondered if people: 1. said yes to everyone just to be liked 2. said no to increase their own chances

I believe the voting system is to be kept but amended to make voting more honest, by not a poll but by user feedback

Sure this could pose problems because the vote count could drop because someone could be voting yes, but not know the person well enough that they have a reason others may deem "valid"

For example
warzdude2's app: I would put "yes I'm familiar with him, saw him in chat, played Black Ops with him once." I can easily vouch for his admittance

Seraph92: An easy example of a "No", because i can post saying "No, this guy spams to bolster his posts, and insulted the community"

but for people like dejames xavier450, and T_Welsh55 i got nothing to say, others might not too, & probably wont have anything to say about warzdude or seraph, which means that some people might get like 1 yes, and that's it because they're just not as popular as other people, but are active in chat and the forum.

If the above doesnt make sense i'm sorry me no good at grammar and stuphs, and if you want a condensed rephrase, just say so! =D

Hm? Me no, see its you that I think will spam. And yes I didnt spell my words right sorry Im very tired and its been a long day.

Couple things I have to say here.

1. Runswithkniefs, I'm looking into getting some moderators on the forum soon. Once that's done, only the moderators will be able to vote on applications, not everybody. Everybody gets their say by the criteria they make. If the people pass that criteria, then the moderators vote on it. It will be much safer that way because the the moderators will be people that I trust.

2. Izka, don't be a dick, but still do what you do and look around at posts. I can make you a custom title on the forum once this is all set up and you will be the official.... I don't know what to call it. I guess Overseer of posts? People who are getting mad at Izka, think before you act because he's already trusted by us and in the server, so he won't get affected by your posts, you will.
