Since the nether can now be entered in multiplayer, Is it possible to enter the aether?

I've seen the Yogscast video of the Aether and I'm thoroughly impressed. You can tell that these guys put a ton of time into this mod.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm hearing that Notch may add this to the official game. Hopefully when he works on the Nether more it will be at least somewhat useful compared to going to the Aether.

Tairy, I heard he already coded it in, just hadn't activated it yet. I beleive theres a tut on how to activate it.

The aether mod looks epic and I can't wait for the multiplayer mod to be finished

I already have this on my list of things to add to the server, however, I'm not sure if it will be for multiplayer.

I've heard both sides of the story.

1. I've heard that Notch is adding this into the actual game. Just like Tairy said, but so far, that is just rumor to me.

2. I've read somewhere that the Aether mod will never be fixed to go on multiplayer servers.

So for now, we just have to let time play it's tune and see where it ends up.
