| You can't cast fullscreen games. You have to cast windowed games. Some games have a windowed no-border which is fantastic; but most games will not and you'll have to capture either the whole window with the border, or just capture the game part of the screen. | |

| Currently you can't cast full screen using Xsplit. If you want full screen you need to go with another setup such as Adobe Flash Media Encoder + a camera of your choice. As far as cameras go I'd suggest SCFH or VHScrCap. Doing it this way is a bit more complicated so you'll have to google some guides and be ready for lots of trial and error if you want to go that route. We would need some details about your computer and internet connection to help fine tune, but based on this http://www.justin.tv/ohno21212/b/286181353 it looks good. Let us know your Operating System, memory, processor, Video Card, and upload speed. Use speedtest.net for upload speed. As for audio, I have struggled with it a long time, and I still have trouble sometimes, but maybe I can help. What kind of audio setup do you have? | |

| If you have dual screens you might be able to cast full screen games but it's a shot in the dark. It's pretty random for when it works for me. | |

| For audio I mean are you using a headset with a mic or is the mic separate? Is it a USB headset/mic? Or is it a 3.5mm, 1/4 or 1/8 connection like this | |

| To run a game in windowed mode, you may need to do a few hacks/work arounds. I know I had to do them for GTA4 and stuff like some Steam games. For most Steam games that do not allow Windowed mode, you can go into the properties of that game and "Set Launch Options" and be able to add in "-windowed" in there and sometimes that helps. | |

| To fix the audio issue open Xsplit and go to the Broadcast > Edit (The channel your using to cast). And try to set your audio encoding settings to
Format: 44.100 KHz 16 bit stereo Bitrate: 320000 Codec: MP3 | |

| Sorry I took forever to respond. My memory can be terrible when it comes to forums ><; Did increasing the audio bitrate fix the issue?
If not there are only a few other problems it can be. There are a couple issues with the 1/4, 1/8, 3.5mm type connectors. The signal sent to the computer is an analog signal, so the humming you hear could be electrical interference caused by something like bad/dirty contacts, battery/voltage issues in your system, or a poor sound card.
A computer only understands digital signals while the audio to/from a headset is an analog signal. With this connection your sound card does the converting from analog to digital and back, that means the signal is easily distorted before actually getting to the sound card.
A 100% USB(not the converter type) headset may fix the issue for you. This is because the headset does the conversion from analog/digital within itself, so the signal that goes to/from the computer is already a clean digital signal.
I don't mean USB is better than the traditional connections, but most of the time it is entirely based on the individual person's computer which type is better.
tl;dr buy a 100% USB (not a converter type) headset and try it out, if no improvement, you can just return it! |
