I just noticed that reputation thing in to everyones name thingy here in the forum

What is it? Why is everyones different?

Reputation is given by your peers here on the forum, if someone thinks your just trolling, didn't answer something when someone asked a for a answer and just overall were being a dick, you will get negative reputation the higher it is the better person people think you are, if your in the negatives most of your peers think your a dick, OR someone could just be going around clicking minus on everyone.

Yup, Zieno pretty much got it.

Reputation just lets people know whether to trust your answers or judgement on the forum when you give an answer.

Points are based on how many posts you've made. (I don't know the ratio of posts to points.)

Points will be used in the future for prizes.

I think that it's another useless forum thing like the points. Were not really able to spend them on anything, and don't really have a point of being there. But what I wonder is why is my rep. at like -9!?!?!??

Who knows. But I think people may start to abuse it once they know what it actually does.

I think when I recommended reputation I suggested we leave out the negative or minus because it's not very helpful. That way if someone has low reputation and a ton of points, you can just know that it was because they haven't posted anything worthwhile.

By all means we can keep the minus button, but it's not beneficial in my opinion.

Now that the Reputation fight is over, I will reset it. :3
Those who are in negative will now be back to 0, same with those who are in the positive.
From here on, those who have negative points and thinks that it was wrongly pointed, please PM me with the link to the thread/post that it happened at to justify your claim. If your claim is correct, I will refund the 1 negative point that was distributed.

It didn't really do anything too useful anyway. It was kind of like the YouTube thumbs up/down system, It only serves to make attention whores out of the users.

On here it was "Why do I have negative rep?!?!?! gimme some plz!11!!!11"

We will be better off with out it.
