| This sucks. Some videos I watched on youtube showed it, but I didn't see HORRIBLE ones like buildings falling from the sky and the ground opening up and eating the island alive o.o. | |

| I have some friends with family there, hope they are alright. I'm glad the tsunami that hit here from the shockwave didn't do any damage at all, my family lives close to the shore.

| The more I see this post the more I wish I could do more than donate or pray.
Update on disaster + Volcano: Tokyo, March 13 (DPA) A volcano in southern Japan was spewing fire and ash Sunday, the country's weather agency said, two days after a massive earthquake that triggered a destructive tsunami.
The ash and rock eruptions from the Shimoedake volcano were sent four kilometres high.
It was unclear whether the eruption was related to Friday's earthquake. The 1,421-metre high volcano has been active again since January after being dormant for more than 50 years.
In February, the authorities advised residents in the vicinity of the volcano to leave, but there had been no activity since the beginning of March.

| I hope everyone in Japan is alright. I love that place, and I don't think they deserved it. But, no one can stop it 'cause of you know... mother nature. Dam you... | |

| I heard about it from my mother, who said a tsunami was headed for Hawaii that morning. I got on the net (delaying my schoolday prep) and read about six articles before I realized what time is was and left. I got to school, and we were showed videos of it. Some people laughed. Laughed about it! I turned around and told the kids to have some respect. After school, I read all that I could about it. I talked to some people I know in Japan, and they were safe. I have no money or services to give--only my voice-- to Japan.
P.S. Aria is so awesome! Check out her marathon!
