Minecraft Server Version Fix

So, the new update which was provided yesterday has a few people screwed up and they cannot connect to the server now. I know some of you are frustrated because you can't connect to minecraft.net, but that's because it is down when that happens, just be patient.

First of all, it is mandatory to get the new Minecraft Launcher, as this will enable those that are whitelisted to once again connect to the server.


Second, this is how to fix your client version so that you can play on the server again (those that are whitelisted):

1. Get the new launcher first, this will allow you to decide whether to update or not, which is crucial for the connection to our server.

2. Download this file which is the Minecraft v1.2 jar file that is needed to connect to our v1.2 server.
You can get it here: Minecraft.jar v1.2

3. Once downloaded, go to wherever your Minecraft bin folder is.
(For windows users, it is located at: C:\Users\"User"\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin)

4. After locating the bin folder, take the downloaded minecraft.jar and replace it with the one currently in the bin folder.

5. You can then close the window and launch minecraft (WITH THE NEW LAUNCHER) to connect to the server again.

Okay so i did that and when i try to get into the server it says my account is not premium and also at first it says cannot connect to minecraft.net so i just clicked play offline >.>

Any chance of this getting fixed in anyway for people who want to play with beds? (I wouldn't know how it would work and this seems like more of a problem for notch but is there anything we can do about it or do we need to talk to our severs host?)

If anything they will just not work, just like when the portals were added. It doesn't depend on Notch for the updated multiplayer servers, so contacting the host is the best bet.

As of right now, the reason we aren't upgrading the server to v1.3 is because we won't have hMod or any of the other mods, this will create a very dangerous area for griefing which is what we don't want.

But once all the mods we have become compatible with v1.3, then we will convert over to that.

Until then, no beds!

(Btw, Tom, for a server, everybody has to sleep in a bed in order for the night time to pass.)

Right now I'm having the can't connect to minecraft issue to bypass the problem I had to play in browser mode at minecraft.net

The 1.2 jar file isn't working for me. Whenever I reach the loading screen, it freezes.
Is something wrong?
